Q. Will my House Sign be weatherproof?
A. Yes, completely. Our plaques are made from high-fired stoneware and are non-porous, so they cannot absorb any water. When the temperature drops below freezing point, our plaques will not shatter as they do not retain water. For the same reason, they will not fade, crack or peel - whatever the weather.

Q. What happens if my plaque arrives damaged?
A. We are confident that our packaging wll ensure that your goods arrived safely. We have had no reported breakages in over seven years. In the unlikely event that your sign has been damaged in transit, we will replace it free of charge.

Q. What if I want my own motif?
A. No problem. Just email or telephone us with your idea and we will discuss the feasibility of incorporating it into your plaque. Please remember, though, that the motif is a silhouette - simple designs seem to work better.

Q. Where are my plaques made?
A. Your plaque will be hand made at Bodger’s Farm Pottery Studio on Marshland Fen in West Norfolk, UK. We are within about 20 minutes driving time each from King’s Lynn, Wisbech, and Downham Market. Visitors are always welcome at the pottery but please telephone first – we may be away at an exhibition.

Q. How do I fix the plaque to my property?
A. Our plaques are fired with two screw holes in place. We supply brass screws and washers . The plaques can be attached to any drillable surface but please do not over tighten the screws!

Q. How many letters/numbers can I have on my plaque?
A. The price includes all letter and/or numbers and a motif if you wish. However, please bear in mind that the more letters you want, the smaller they will be on the finished plaque. Either email or telephone us if you have any doubt whether your design will fit.
